Membership in local chapters of Theta Alpha Kappa is open to students who meet certain academic criteria. The criteria for membership established for Creighton University's chapter, Alpha Gamma Mu, are as follows. The faculty of the Department of Theology, in the person of the TAK moderator, extends an invitation to join the Society based on completion of a minimum of fifteen credit hours in Theology; a Grade Point Average in Theology of at least 3.75; and a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 3.5.
Once inducted into a local chapter, an individual becomes a lifetime member and maintains or can resume his/her active membership status at any time by paying annual dues. Dues-paying members receive appropriate certification, opportunity for election to the national board, and a subscription to the Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa, which consists of papers by undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty.
For further information about the local chapter of TAK here at Creighton, contact the current moderator, Dr. Susan Calef, (402) 280-5807 or scalef@creighton.edu.
