Harvey P. Sutton HouseFrank Lloyd Wright. McCook, NE (1905)
The Sutton house is Frank Lloyd Wright's only structure in Nebraska. McCook is regionally important in southwestern Nebraska, but it is lamentably far from Omaha--I've only been there once. Pictures from the 70s published in (e.g.) Storrer's second edition (of The Architecture of FLW) show the house surrounded by a cinder block wall. But however that may be, now the house has been bought by some well-heeled burgher of McCook who has done a beautiful job restoring the house's exterior.
Any criticism I might write here would imply that I have some business passing judgment on Wright, which I don't. But the house is beautiful and its exterior is worth at least one trip from Omaha to see it. Here is a closer photo:
