Announcements

David McGonagle, Director of the CUA Press, and John Petruccione, Associate Prof. of Latin at CUA have won a challenge grant from the NEH. The grant of $388,600, which must be matched on a 3-1 basis, is to establish an endowment to support the publication of a series of low-cost patristic and late-antique texts with facing page translations accompanied by introduction and some annotation. The series, to be know as the "Library of Early Christianity," will include oriental (e.g. Syriac, Coptic, Armenian) as well as western (Greek and Latin) texts. It is conceived as a permanent ongoing enterprise. Advice from members of NAPS on sources of funding as well as proposals for specific volumes should be sent to Dr. D. McGonagle, the CUA Press, The Catholic University of America, Washington D.C. 20064.
