Oxford Conference

The NAPS board met in Oxford. Key decisions included:

1) The Patristic Monograph Series will be transferred to The Catholic University of America Press.

2) NAPS will hire a public accounting firm to audit the books and prepare the taxes. NAPS finances have become more complex as the Society has grown.

For all the details, see the meeting minutes posted on the website.

Call For Papers

Fourteenth Annual NAPS Meeting will be held at Loyola University, Chicago May 25-27, 2000

If you wish to read a paper at the NAPS conference in May, 2000, please submit the title of your paper and an abstract of about 200 words by January 15, 2000 to:

Joseph T. Lienhard,
Vice-President, NAPS
Fordham University
Department of Theology
Bronx NY 10458.

Only members in good standing of NAPS may submit a title and an abstract.

Inquiries and other correspondence may be sent to the address above or by e-mail to: lienhard@murray. fordham.edu. Abstracts, however, may be submitted only in paper copy. Anyone who needs special audio-visual equipment should include a request with the abstract.

If you are willing to chair a session at the conference, please let Joe Lienhard know. You need not read a paper to chair a session. It is helpful to indicate your general area(s) of interest.

Proposals for full sessions, which usually comprise three papers, are always welcome. Proposals for a special session--which might, for example, be a discussion by several members of a recent book--are also welcome.

Registration forms will be mailed in early January.

Your continuing interest and your help in making the annual NAPS conference interesting and enjoyable are appreciated. We want to make the conference as valuable as possible for all members, and we welcome suggestions for improving the program of the annual meeting.
