The Fifteenth Annual NAPS Meeting will be
held at Loyola University in Chicago, May 24-26, 2001. The deadline for

This year’s meeting will
include a special program devoted to early Christian art. The focus of the
program will be directed toward the life of pre-Christian ideas of heroic
achievement within the Christian art of late antiquity.
Best First Article
Again this year, NAPS will award a prize of $250 for the
best first article in the field of patristics (including any discipline
represented by NAPS) published by a Society member in a scholarly journal. For
the current competition, articles should have been published no earlier than
January 1999.
Any member of the Society
may submit an article to the competition, regardless of
whether that person is the
author. Articles may be sent as offprints or photocopies. A short cover letter
should state that the article is the author’s first scholarly publication. The
deadline for submissions is March 1, 2001, with the winner to be announced at
the annual meeting of the Society in May 2001. Please submit articles to:

International Patristics Conference to be held at Oxford in 2003 have
announced that conference dates have been changed. The previously announced
dates of August 11-16, 2003 have been changed to the more customary period of August
